Tanea Hynes is an interdisciplinary artist based in Montreal, Quebec (b. Labrador City 1996) Hynes has shown work across North America, and self-published an artist edition entitled WORKHORSE in 2021. Her work is held in both public and private collections, in Canada and abroad. Most recently, her work was acquired by The Canada Council Art Bank. Hynes is the 2021 winner of the Roloff Beny Foundation Fellowship in photography from Concordia University, was long-listed for the 2022 and 2023 Scotiabank New Generation Photography award, and most recently exhibited at the Fogo Island Art Gallery alongside photographer Ethan Murphy. Hynes is a visual art editor for Riddle Fence Journal of Art and Culture. She is represented in Europe by Kin Brussels.
